The driver who ran over a woman at the crosswalk on Berceni Road has been sent to trial, in a state of preventive detention, for manslaughter.

The Prosecutor's Office next to the Court of Sector 4 Bucharest announced the referral to trial of the driver S.F., in preventive detention, for the crime of manslaughter.

The incident occurred on October 13, 2025, when, around 4:00 PM, the driver was driving a car on Berceni Road and fatally hit F.E., a woman crossing at the pedestrian crossing. The defendant did not respect the speed limit and the priority of pedestrians, which led to the accident. A direct link between the injuries suffered by the victim and her death was established. The criminal investigation was carried out by prosecutors and criminal investigation bodies, respecting the procedural rights of the defendant.
