A 2-year-old girl died Thursday evening in a dental clinic in Bucharest after going into cardiac arrest. The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced that administrative and medical checks will be initiated. There are suspicions of a delay between the moment of cardiac arrest and the call to 112, and further details will be available after the investigations are completed.
"I have this information, but I ask you, it is somewhat validated, namely that at the moment when the ambulance colleagues arrived at the office, the child was in cardiac arrest. The staff in the office were performing resuscitation maneuvers. The ambulance colleagues also resuscitated, but unfortunately there was no response. I understand, but with caution I give you this information, that there was a delay (delay - editor's note), between the moment of cardiac arrest and the moment when 112 was called. We will find out in the end of the investigation how significant the delay was, the Minister of Health said he does not know for sure, and emphasized that for this reason he provided the information "with caution," said Alexandru Rogobete on Digi24
