Passenger air transport recorded a significant increase of 8.1% in the first three months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, reaching 5,597,400 passengers. Henri Coandă, Cluj-Napoca and Iași airports had the highest passenger volumes. The most frequent international and origin destinations were London, Milan and Istanbul. Romania has 17 airports, facilitating international air transportation.
