The Ministry of Education announces that 687 schools have enrolled in the 'Remedial Mathematics' program, aimed at supporting students and teachers in recovering competencies in mathematics.

The program, developed with the help of the World Bank, offers a free digital package of remedial resources, specifically aimed at eighth-grade mathematics teachers. It includes an online module for remedial activities and a training module for teachers, focused on pedagogical methods and the integration of technology in teaching. The platform is delivered locally, ensuring full access to resources without dependence on the internet. The Minister of Education, Daniel David, emphasizes the importance of the program in combating functional illiteracy, considered a threat to democracy, and encourages schools to participate in improving the educational process. At the end of the 2025-2026 school year, an impact analysis will be conducted for the program's expansion.
