Suceava Border Police discovered 580,000 undeclared dollars in the luggage of a 28-year-old man with dual Romanian-Ukrainian citizenship who was trying to enter Romania on foot. In his bags were ten cartons of cigarettes, 68 packs of which were without tax stamps. The money and cigarettes were confiscated and a criminal case was opened against the man for smuggling, as amounts over €10,000 have to be declared under the law.
