The DIICOT prosecutors - Territorial Service Constanța have completed the investigation in the case known as 'The Inheritance Factory', sending 26 people to trial on December 8. The charges include the establishment of an organized criminal group, human trafficking, abuse of office, and money laundering. At the time of the indictment, 11 defendants were under house arrest, and one was in preventive detention. DIICOT requested the court to extend the preventive measures for 11 defendants and judicial control for another 8. The list of alleged crimes also includes forgery and perjury. Prosecutors are requesting the annulment of 105 fraudulent documents, including contracts and wills, and the defendants to be ordered to pay judicial costs of 440,000 lei.
