The law adopted by 307 votes in the Chamber of Deputies and previously voted in the Senate, formalizes 2026 as the 'Year of Nadia Comăneci', celebrating 50 years since the historic moment in 1976 when Nadia achieved the first perfect 10 at the Olympic Games in Montreal. At just 14, she became the first gymnast in the world to receive this mark, and the organizers were not prepared to display it correctly, putting '1.00' next to her performances.
