An 18-year-old man, charged with robbery, escaped from under police escort while being taken to the Turda Court.

The young man, accused of robbery after robbing a taxi driver, managed to escape on Friday while being escorted to the Turda Court. The incident took place at around 1.30pm and the authorities launched a search coordinated by the Cluj County Police Inspectorate. A criminal file for escape has also been opened in his name. The robbery took place on June 20, when the young man and an accomplice assaulted a 72-year-old taxi driver, snatching 350 lei.
