On a chilly October evening, Timothée Chalamet invited New Yorkers to participate in a special screening of his film 'Marty Supreme', scheduled for release on December 25. The event took place in a less desirable area of Manhattan but attracted hundreds of fans. Chalamet, known for his promotional skills, took an unconventional approach, blending his style with the sensibilities of A24, the studio producing the film.

The film, directed by Josh Safdie, follows the story of fictional ping-pong champion Marty Mauser, and Chalamet aims to turn 'Marty Supreme' into a landmark art event. In an era where attracting audiences to theaters is increasingly difficult, Chalamet opted for an innovative marketing campaign, including a 'leaked' Zoom meeting where he proposed satirical ideas.

Chalamet avoided traditional promotion, instead opting for an active strategy that includes surprise premieres and quickly sold merchandise. This approach reflects his eccentric personality and humor, adapting to the film's less serious subject matter. Chalamet aims to raise awareness for 'Marty Supreme', considering that indie films, even with big stars, face challenges in attracting audiences.
