On the occasion of the Day of the Small Union, the National Museum Cotroceni will be open on January 24, 2026, offering free entry for young people under 18 years old.

The National Museum Cotroceni will open its doors on January 24, 2026, marking 167 years since the Unification of the Romanian Principalities, under the reign of Alexandru Ioan Cuza. Visitors will be able to explore the museum without prior booking, with access through the gate on Cotroceni Avenue.

One of the most important exhibits will be the ceremonial sword of Prince Cuza, a symbol of diplomatic relations in the 19th century. Alongside the sword, decorations, medals, and original documents from the era will be displayed. On the opening day, children and teenagers under 18 will benefit from free entry, with access allowed only with an identity document.
