Steven Spielberg has achieved EGOT status - an artist who has in their collection an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar, and Tony - following the win of his first Grammy. At the age of 79, Spielberg was honored for the production of the documentary "Music for John Williams," which explores the seven-decade career of composer John Williams, receiving the award for Best Musical Film. The professional relationship between Spielberg and Williams began in 1974 and has continued throughout his career, with the exception of only five films. Spielberg stated that the Grammy award represents an important recognition of Williams' influence on culture and music.

He joins famous personalities such as Audrey Hepburn and Elton John, having in his collection three Oscar awards, 12 Emmy awards, and one Tony award.
