Under the High Patronage of the Presidential Administration, Romanian Creative Week (RCW) will take place in Iași between May 13 and 24, 2026, consolidating itself as the largest event dedicated to the creative industries in the European Union. At the center of the program is Romanian Fashion Week (RFW), which transforms the city into a hub of contemporary creativity, with presentations in venues such as the Palace of Culture and 'Alexandru Ioan Cuza' University.
The 2026 edition proposes an immersive experience, where fashion intersects with art and technology. Irina Schrotter emphasizes the importance of RFW as an infrastructure for creativity, bringing together established and emerging designers. The Romanian Designers section, curated by Ovidiu Buta, will showcase a record number of Romanian creators. A premiere is the 'Shadowear' exhibition by Dinu Bodiciu, which explores the relationship between the body and the garment object.
RFW Academy will connect students and young designers, promoting research and development for the new generation. RFW New Wave will continue to support emerging designers, confirming the event's role as a validation platform for the fashion industry. This edition reflects a paradigm shift in Romanian design, which is building its own affirmation mechanisms on the international stage.
