The most extensive retrospective dedicated to Constantin Brâncuși will take place between March 20 and August 9, 2026, at the Neue Nationalgalerie in Berlin, under the High Patronage of the Presidents of Germany, France, and Romania. The opening is scheduled for March 19, bringing together over 150 sculptures, photographs, films, and archival documents from international collections.
The exhibition will partially reconstruct the artist's Parisian studio, offering a rare perspective on his creative process. Curators Klaus Biesenbach, Maike Steinkamp, Ariane Coulondre, and Valerie Loth are collaborating to highlight the connection between Romanian cultural heritage and the international recognition of Brâncuși's work, including objects from Romanian museums. This exhibition promises to be a significant cultural event, showcasing the lasting impact of the artist on modern art.
