The list of nominations for the 2026 Oscars highlights the most important films of the year, with "Sinners" leading the list with 16 selections. Directed by Ryan Coogler and starring Michael B. Jordan in the lead role, the film combines historical drama, horror, and musical elements, set in 1930s Mississippi. "One Battle After Another," directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, is also a favorite, having won four Golden Globe awards and six BAFTA awards.
The ceremony will take place at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, and in Romania, it will be broadcast on the night of March 15 to 16, starting at 02:00. Among the presenters are Demi Moore and Zoe Saldaña, and the gala will be hosted by Conan O’Brien.
The BAFTA Awards 2026 have set expectations for the 2026 Oscars, with "One Battle After Another" and "Hamnet" having the best chances to win substantial awards.
