In a captivating short film, actress Nicole Kidman was spotted at the Rockefeller galleries in New York, where she discovered the famous sculpture Danaida, signed by Constantin Brâncuși, on the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the Romanian artist's birth. This work, created in 1913 from bronze with a brown patina and gold leaf, is estimated at 100 million dollars, setting a record for a sculpture and for Brâncuși's works. Danaida is considered one of the first modern sculptures, representing an important stage in the artist's career, inspired by Greek mythology. The sculpture, placed on a limestone pedestal, depicts Margit Pogany, Brâncuși's muse. This short film moved the audience in Romania and brought to the forefront Brâncuși's cultural legacy.
