Kanye West, now known as Ye, will hold a concert on a globe-shaped stage at the Atatürk Olympic Stadium in Istanbul on Saturday, as part of his summer tour, after canceling shows in the U.K., France, Switzerland, and Poland due to his antisemitic comments. Although the British government has banned him from entering the country, fans from the U.K., U.S., Germany, Poland, Russia, and Kazakhstan are traveling to Istanbul to attend the concert. Organizer Erdem Karahan estimates that foreign tourism revenues will generate between 50 and 100 million dollars. The concert aims for an audience of up to 120,000 people, with 75,000 tickets already sold. If 99,000 spectators gather, Istanbul will set a world record for the largest concert. Turkish artists will also perform on stage, and West's daughter, North, is expected to perform. West has publicly apologized for his controversial behavior, attributing it to manic episodes caused by bipolar disorder. His European tour will continue in the Netherlands, Albania, Italy, and the Czech Republic.
