Donald Trump, the Kennedy Center's new president, has announced the nominees for the annual honors, including artists such as George Strait and Sylvester Stallone.

In a personal press conference, Donald Trump unveiled the nominees for the Kennedy Center Honors, including stars such as George Strait, Sylvester Stallone, Gloria Gaynor, the band Kiss and Michael Crawford. Unlike previous tradition, Trump was deeply involved in the selection of honorees, announcing he would host this year's ceremony. He outlined the center's modernization and suggested renaming it the Trump/Kennedy Center. The ceremony will take place Dec. 7 and will be broadcast on CBS.
