The Mayor of the Capital announced on Friday that the development of the new cultural strategy for Bucharest has begun, an essential document for establishing funding for major cultural projects. The process will be coordinated by ARCUB, and contributions from cultural actors can be submitted through a digital platform.

Ciucu emphasized that the old cultural strategy has expired, and the new approach will transform culture into a development infrastructure, promoting social cohesion and economic growth.

The strategy will include clear investment directions and will involve all actors in the field, ensuring transparency and active participation. Additionally, an online platform will be developed to facilitate dialogue and collect feedback. The mayor mentioned that this process is open and participatory, without imposing a unilateral vision, and aims to make Bucharest a reference cultural capital in Europe.
