Katia Pascariu, Manuela Martelli and Ana Marija Veselčić won awards at the Locarno Film Festival for their roles in the films "Sorella di Clausura" and "God won't help us".

Katia Pascariu was awarded the Boccalino d'Oro for Best Actress at the Locarno Film Festival for her role as Stela in "Sorella di Clausura". Manuela Martelli and Ana Marija Veselčić won the Silver Leopard Award for their performances in "God Won't Help Us". The festival also awarded other films, including "Tabi to Hibi" with the Golden Leopard. Romanian productions were supported by various institutions and competed with notable international titles.
