The opening of the last 13 km of DEx12 will allow motorists to travel uninterrupted from Craiova to Constanta, with 121 km of expressway at their disposal. This opening will extend Romania's motorway and expressway network to 1,325 km. Section 4 was built by UMB and will connect Craiova to the A1, facilitating access to Bucharest and Constanta. The section between Bucharest and Pitesti is the busiest in the country, with an average of 30,000-40,000 vehicles per day.
