Andy Summers and Stewart Copeland, former colleagues of Sting from the band The Police, have decided to sue the vocalist for unpaid royalties, after years of legal disputes. They are seeking substantial damages, claiming that they are owed millions of pounds. The case has been filed in the High Court in London, and Sting, under his real name Gordon Matthew Sumner, is a defendant alongside his company. Although the band had immense success, the relationships between the members were often tense, culminating in the group's breakup in 1984.
