Simina Tănăsescu has been appointed president of Romania's Constitutional Court, according to G4Media sources, with the support of President Nicușor Dan and judges close to PSD. The CCR consists of nine judges and the president is elected for a three-year term. Tănăsescu, part of the reformist wing of the CCR, received five votes, while Iulia Scântei was backed by premier Ilie Bolojan.
