Romania achieved a recycling rate of almost 74% for aluminum cans, a significant improvement on previous years

The global initiative Every Can Counts announced that the national aluminum can recycling rate in Romania has increased to nearly 74% in the first four months of 2025, compared to 35% in 2022. This increase reflects an increasing recycling behavior and commitment to sustainable consumption. The recycling rate for metal packaging has also increased from 2024, when RetuRO reported 49%.
