The Professional Association of Ambulatory Doctors (APMA) proposes a reform of the Romanian healthcare system, focused on reducing unnecessary hospitalizations and increasing patients' accessibility to outpatient services. Among the suggested measures are the implementation of performance criteria for doctors, stricter triage in emergencies, the introduction of pre-hospital medicine and the monitoring of patients with chronic pathologies. It also proposes a payment system for unjustified medical services and the creation of on-call centers to reduce hospital overcrowding.
