Former world number one Caroline Wozniacki defeated Angelique Kerber in 90 minutes, 6-4, 6-2, to qualify for her first quarter-final at a WTA 1000 tournament. After the match, Wozniacki said she would have to play her "best tennis to compete" with Swiatek.
