The Germany - Switzerland match in the World Handball Championship will be watched by 53,000 spectators, setting a new attendance record.

The match will take place at the 54,600-capacity Merkur Arena in Düsseldorf. The previous record was set in 2014, also in Germany, at a Bundesliga match with 44,189 spectators. The World Handball Championships take place in 2024 in 6 cities in Germany, with the finals in Cologne.
