Valerie Camillo has been appointed on Tuesday as president of the Women's Tennis Association (WTA), officially taking up the position on November 17, 2025. Supported by current president Steve Simon, Camillo brings extensive experience in sports management, having a professional background in top organizations from the NBA, NHL, and MLB. In her new role, she will be responsible for implementing the WTA's long-term vision, collaborating with players, tournaments, and partners to ensure equity and progress in player standards and compensation. She will also lead the commercial division WTA Ventures, aiming to continue the growth and innovation of the women's circuit. Billie Jean King, a tennis legend, emphasized the importance of Valerie's appointment, highlighting that her strength and leadership will bring significant benefits to the organization.
