Senegalese Prime Minister Ousmane Sonko has announced that the United States has denied visas to several players of the Senegalese national basketball team, leading to the cancellation of their planned training camp in the US. The denial comes in the context of the US national security policy, which aims to restrict access to citizens of certain countries. Although old visas were renewed, new applications were rejected. The team was to prepare for the Afrobasket, scheduled for July in Ivory Coast.
