According to the Romanian Football Federation (FRF), referee Marian Barbu has been appointed to officiate the match between Costa Rica and the United Arab Emirates, scheduled for November 3, 2025, as part of the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025, which will take place in Qatar. The Romanian team will be completed by assistant referees Mircea Grigoriu and George Neacșu.

After this match, on November 4, Marian Barbu will serve as the fourth official in the Haiti – Egypt match, officiated by Belgian referee Jasper Vergoote, with a team consisting of Michele Seeldraeyers and Martijn Tiesters. The FIFA U-17 World Cup 2025 will take place between November 3 and 27, 2025.
