FRF has announced the preliminary list of foreigners for the playoff against Turkey. Ioan Vermeșan, who has played 8 senior matches, is on the list.

The Romanian national team will play the playoff semifinal against the Turkish national team on March 26, at Beşiktaş Park stadium in Istanbul, starting at 19:00. If Romania wins, they will play the playoff final on March 31, facing the winner of the match between Slovakia and Kosovo. Mircea Lucescu's selections:
