Real Madrid is preparing to sign Bernardo Silva, the Portuguese midfielder becoming a free agent after leaving Manchester City. According to journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish vice-champions intervened at the last moment to 'steal' Silva from rival Atletico Madrid, with whom he already had an agreement.
The new coach of Real, Jose Mourinho, personally contacted Silva, convincing him to join the team's project. Although there were initial discussions about a possible move to Barcelona, the negotiations did not materialize. Bernardo Silva will sign a contract with Real Madrid until 2028, with the option to extend until 2029. At Manchester City, Silva had an impressive run, with 460 matches, 76 goals, and 77 assists, winning multiple trophies, including 6 Premier Leagues and 1 Champions League.
