Lens won the French Supercup after defeating PSG 1-0 in a final where the Parisians dominated possession but failed to score.
The only goal of the match was scored in the 32nd minute by Florian Thauvin, who sent the ball into PSG's net after a very good play by the hosts. Lens was left with a numerical disadvantage in the 39th minute after Antonio's dismissal, but managed to withstand the pressure from the Parisians throughout the second half.
In the 87th minute, PSG was also left with 10 men after Nuno Mendes' dismissal, so both teams finished the match with a numerical disadvantage.
RC Lens won the French Supercup for the first time in history, having previously played in a final in 1998, when they lost to PSG.
