Canadian swimmer Penny Oleksiak, a multiple Olympic medalist, has been suspended for two years due to a violation of anti-doping rules.

"The athlete has violated three location obligations over a period of 12 months, between October 2024 and June 2025," indicated ITA in a statement.

Oleksiak, at the age of 25, did not contest this violation and "accepted" the consequences, the organization specified.

Her suspension will end in July 2027, one year before the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in the summer of 2028.
