Surprises, surprises in the Champions League! Kairat Almaty and Pafos, Vlad Dragomir's team have qualified for the main stage.

The Kairat Almaty team from Kazakhstan has achieved a historic performance, qualifying for the main phase of the Champions League for the first time. The team defeated Celtic Glasgow in a penalty shootout, 3-2, after the first and second leg matches ended in a draw, 0-0.


FC Pafos, the champion of Cyprus, with Romanian midfielder Vlad Dragomir playing the full match, has secured a ticket to the Champions League for the first time. Pafos drew 1-1 with Red Star Belgrade and qualified for the Champions League Phase, thanks to their 2-1 victory in the first leg.


The draw for the Champions League group stage will take place on Thursday, and the first matches are scheduled between September 16-18, 2025.
