Although the Turin team managed to equalize the score in extra time, the numerical superiority of the Turks was decisive, and Galatasaray scored twice, advancing in the competition. In the end, Giorgio Chiellini, former captain of the team and current scouting director, stated that Luciano Spalletti remains the team's coach, emphasizing that there has never been any doubt regarding his future. Spalletti had a mixed season, with 14 victories out of 26 matches, and Juventus is currently in 5th place in Serie A. The draw for the knockout stage will take place on February 27.
