Istvan Kovacs has been appointed to referee the return match in the Champions League play-off between PSG and AS Monaco, which will take place on February 25, at 22:00. Kovacs will be assisted by Mihai Marica and Ferencz Tunyogi, while Szabolcs Kovacs will be the fourth official. In the VAR room, Paulus van Boekel from the Netherlands and Marco Di Bello from Italy will oversee the match. So far, in the 2025-2026 season, Kovacs has refereed five matches in the main phase of the Champions League.
The eight matches in the UCL play-off, which will determine the teams qualified for the knockout stage, are scheduled for February 24 and 25. The draw for the knockout stage will take place on February 27. The teams already qualified include Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Liverpool, Tottenham, and others.
