Imane Khelif, Olympic champion in boxing, has challenged before the Court of Arbitration for Sport the World Boxing regulations that impose chromosomal tests for female athletes. She was affected by the decision in May, which led to her exclusion from international competitions. Khelif is seeking the annulment of this decision and wishes to participate without testing at the World Championships in Liverpool, but she has low chances of success. Her case will open a debate about genetic testing in sports, which was in effect between 1968 and 1996.
