Horia Colibășanu succeeded in climbing Nanga Parbat, reaching the 8,125-meter summit on July 4, 2025, as part of his 26th international expedition. The ascent was accomplished without supplemental oxygen and without the support of the serpents, in the mountaineer's characteristic style. After a careful acclimatization, he started the final ascent from Camp 4, managing to reach the summit after nine hours of climbing. This is Colibășanu's eleventh eight summit, and he continues to be a symbol of Romanian mountaineering.
