Guillermo Ochoa enters history! The goalkeeper of Mexico will participate in the sixth World Cup.

Guillermo Ochoa, at over 40 years old, has been included in Mexico's squad for this year's World Cup, having the chance to become the first player to participate in six World Cups, alongside Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo. Ochoa made his World Cup debut in 2006, in Germany, and recently played for the Cypriot team AEL Limassol. In the team coached by Javier Aguirre, there is also striker Raul Jimenez, and captain Edson Alvarez will lead the team. Gilberto Mora, at just 17 years old, will become the youngest Mexican player at a World Cup. Among the selected players are also naturalized players such as Alvaro Fidalgo and Julian Quinones.

This will be Aguirre's third World Cup as coach of Mexico. Mexico will co-host the tournament with the USA and Canada and will play its first match against South Africa on June 11.
