FIFA has announced the opening of a disciplinary investigation against the Argentine national team following the incidents that occurred after the World Cup final won by Spain. The international body has appointed a disciplinary prosecutor who will analyze the referees' reports and the match footage to determine any potential sanctions for players or members of the coaching staff. Among the incidents being investigated is the behavior of Leandro Paredes, who was allegedly involved in a conflict with Spanish players, and the actions of Nahuel Molina. The involvement of assistant coach Roberto Ayala will also be examined. Argentina is already under investigation for the incidents in the semifinal against England, related to a political message displayed by Giovani Lo Celso. FIFA's disciplinary committee can impose severe sanctions, including suspensions, based on the Disciplinary Code, which regulates player behavior and adherence to fair play.
