FC Bruges won in the playoff return against Glasgow Rangers, at home, with a score of 6-0.

Copenhagen won 2-0 against FC Basel, in a match officiated by Istvan Kovacs. Goals were scored by Cornelius '46 and Moukoko '84 (penalty). In the first leg, the score was 1-1.

Benfica won 1-0 against Fenerbahce, at home. In the first leg, it was 0-0.
