Farul Constanța remains in Liga 1 after penalty shootouts

Farul Constanța managed to stay in the football Superliga, defeating Chindia Târgoviște 4-2 on penalties, on Sunday evening, at home, in Ovidiu. The match was part of the relegation/promotion playoff, and at the end of regular time and after extra time, the score was 1-1.

Chindia opened the scoring through Daniel Florea in the 8th minute, and Farul equalized in the 56th minute through Eduard Radaslavescu. Although the Constanța team dominated the game, having important chances, including two posts, the match went to penalties. All Farul's shooters scored, while Chindia missed two penalties.

The last spot for next season in the Superliga will be contested by FC Voluntari and Chindia, in the return match at Voluntari, after the Sibiu team won the first leg 3-2.
