Europe finalized on Tuesday evening the teams qualified directly for the 2026 World Cup and those that will participate in the playoffs. Austria secured qualification after a tense match against Bosnia, equalizing in the 77th minute through Gregoritsch. In Group C, Scotland surprised with a 4-2 victory against Denmark, finishing in first place, while the Danes will play in the playoffs. Spain finished Group E in first place with 16 points, despite conceding the first two goals in the qualifiers, while Turkey finished in second place. Belgium qualified without issues in Group J, and Wales defeated North Macedonia 7-1, advancing to the playoffs.
