Dom Taylor, a British darts player, has been excluded from the World Darts Championship (December 11 - January 3) after testing positive in a doping control conducted a day before the competition. The darts regulatory authority, Darts Regulation Authority (DRA), announced that Taylor, who was already suspended for a month in January, will end the year in the same situation.
His exclusion is effective immediately, and his case will be subject to a disciplinary procedure according to the DRA's anti-doping rules. In a message on social media, Taylor apologized for his behavior, admitting that he lied regarding his situation and explaining that he acted out due to childhood traumas, including significant personal losses.
