Ariarne Titmus set a new world record in the 200m freestyle swimming event at the Australian Olympic Trials.

Titmus recorded a time of 1:52.23, bettering the previous record also held by an Australian. The performance comes just weeks before the Paris Olympics, cementing her status as the favorite. O'Callaghan also swam under the previous world record but failed to beat Titmus.
