The Parliament kicks off the spring session of 2026, inaugurated by a solemn meeting attended by the presidents of the Riigikogu from Estonia, the Saeima from Latvia, and the Seimas from Lithuania.
During this meeting, the leaders of the three Baltic countries will deliver speeches. From February 4-5, the Parliament will host the visit of the rapporteurs from the Venice Commission, who will analyze the situation in view of drafting an opinion regarding Law no. 100/2025, aimed at combating electoral corruption. Additionally, the Committee for European Integration will present the progress of the Republic of Moldova in the process of joining the European Union, and the deputies will convene to discuss legislative initiatives. This week will also include preliminary discussions about the reform of local public administration. According to the regulations, the spring session takes place in February and concludes at the end of July.
