On Thursday, in the second half of the day, a fire broke out in the Parliament building of the Republic of Moldova, confirmed by the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations. Authorities were alerted around 15:44, after dense smoke was observed. Firefighters discovered that the fire was caused by a short circuit in the electric power stabilizer at the base of the elevator. The fire was quickly contained, and no one was injured in the incident.
