In an interview, historian Armand Goșu states that the SRI cannot fulfill its mission to combat Russian influence, emphasizing that information about previous warnings from the secret services is merely manipulation. He compares Romania to Russia from the perspective of militarized structures and warns about the risks of regime changes through military coups. Goșu believes that, although the SRI might have the capacity to act in the future, it currently lacks the necessary resources to dismantle Russian networks in the country.
