The interim Minister of Transport, Radu Miruță, emphasized on Facebook the importance of road and rail infrastructure for Romania, stating that the progress made so far is not sufficient. He called for more intense work and seriousness to prevent the loss of essential European funds for the well-being of the country.
Miruță highlighted that, regardless of the government, Romania must advance in the right direction. The main objective remains to avoid losing money from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR), especially for highways and railways. The minister mentioned a recent meeting with entrepreneur Dorinel Umbrărescu, discussing infrastructure projects funded through the PNRR.
He stressed the need for quick and efficient decisions to avoid losing development opportunities, criticizing the delays and lack of action from the past. His message comes in the context of increased pressures to accelerate infrastructure projects.
