PSD refuses to reduce local administration positions by 10%, proposing instead a 30% reduction in vacant and occupied positions.

The social democrats announced that they do not support the mandatory 10% reduction of positions in local public administration, but prefer a 30% reduction of vacant and occupied positions. Mayors will have the option to cut expenses by 10% instead of reducing staff. Lia Olguța Vasilescu emphasized that such a measure could affect the functioning of local administration, and the PSD also requests a 10% reduction of staff in central institutions. The governing coalition will discuss the final version of the cuts soon.
